Not-So-Recent Work

Prior to my consulting work, I was the Political Director at the Caring Across Generations campaign (2016-2018), where I…

  • Led political engagement strategy for Caring Across Generations; directed and advised state-based advocacy and organizing campaigns in twelve states + built integrated voter engagement programs around long-term care that tied electoral cycles to legislative advocacy.

  • Co-led We Won’t Wait, a 2016 project to advance a women’s economic agenda with 7 national organizations that engaged 500,000 voters and culminated in a 1000-person national summit.

  • Led the campaign to win Kupuna Caregivers, a 2017 breakthrough policy in Hawaii to support family caregivers.

  • Co-led the 2018 Homecare for All ballot initiative campaign in Maine.

And before that, I worked as the Organizing Director at Maine People’s Alliance, where I supervised the organizing team, served as regional field director with Rebuild Maine, a statewide IE coalition, and directed the Maine Small Business Coalition, coordinating media outreach and membership development for 3,600 Coalition members

And before that, I worked at Virginia Organizing, where I started as an intern during my sophomore year of college and basically never left. On staff from 2008-2012, I developed a plan to establish Virginia Organizing chapters on college campuses by training 20 interns over 2 years to run effective organizing chapters at 7 different schools, and oversaw a voter engagement program that knocked on more than 300,000 doors.

I went to college at the University of Virginia, which would be terribly uninteresting beyond the fact that it’s where I got my start organizing, working with an amazing group of students and workers to help run a living wage campaign on campus.
